The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is gearing up to host an extraordinary celebration for the 96th Oscars® with its "Oscars® Season at the Academy Museum" event series. From January 28 to March 31, movie enthusiasts and fans of the Academy Awards® are invited to partake in an array of unique Oscar®-centered activities and events, offering an unparalleled behind-the-scenes look at the prestigious awards ceremony.

This year, the Academy Museum's programming is more expansive than ever, featuring Oscar-winning film screenings, family-friendly workshops, in-depth gallery tours, and special programs spotlighting this year's Oscar® nominees. These events not only showcase the best in filmmaking but also provide a platform for celebrating and understanding the rich history and cultural significance of the Oscars®.

Kicking off the festivities on January 28 is a special book signing event with Turner Classic Movies host Dave Karger, author of "50 Oscar Nights." The event will include a moderated discussion with actor Topher Grace, providing insightful commentary on Oscar® history and its impact on the film industry.

The Academy Museum Store is set to enhance the experience with an exclusive Oscars® merchandise collection, featuring items like the 96th Oscars® Poster, an Oscars® Viewing Party Kit, and limited-edition Pantone™ Oscars Gold products. This curated collection is perfect for fans wanting to bring a piece of the Oscars® magic into their homes.

Highlights of the series include the Weekend Short Cuts, showcasing Oscar-winning animated shorts from the past decade. These screenings are free with general admission and provide a great opportunity for families and animation enthusiasts to enjoy award-winning storytelling in the David Geffen Theater.

February's lineup will feature "Oscar Sundays Screenings," spotlighting significant moments and milestones in Black cinema at the Oscars®, along with Drop-in Family Workshops that dive into the world of animated films. These events are designed to engage and inspire film lovers of all ages.

In March, the museum will host "Breaking the Oscars Ceiling," a special conversation program celebrating the achievements of the LGBTQ+ community at the Oscars®. Additionally, the week leading up to the Oscars® broadcast will feature screenings of all the Oscar®-nominated live-action and animated short films, as well as nominee programs with this year's leading filmmakers.

On Oscar® night, March 10, the Academy Museum will host its third annual "Oscars Night at the Museum." This spectacular viewing party, for guests 21 and over, will offer special photo opportunities, access to museum galleries, and a live broadcast of the Oscars® on ABC. The event promises a night of elegance and celebration, with food by Wolfgang Puck and wine from Clarendelle & Domaine Clarence Dillon.

Following the Oscars®, the museum will screen some of this year's award-winning films from March 14-17. Additionally, the museum's restaurant and cafe, Fanny's, joins the celebration with a special cocktail menu inspired by the Best Picture nominees, crafted by bar director Marisa Mercado.
