Scheduled to have its World Premiere at the SXSW Festival on March 16th as the Closing Night Film and set to launch globally on Prime Video on May 2nd, "The Idea of You" is a romantic drama that brings to life the celebrated novel by Robinne Lee. Directed by Michael Showalter, known for his captivating work on "Hello My Name is Doris" (2015) and "The Big Sick" (2017), both Audience Award winners at SXSW, this film marks his much-anticipated return to the festival.
Starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, "The Idea of You" is a contemporary love story that explores the unexpected romance between Solène, a 40-year-old single mom, and Hayes Campbell, the 24-year-old lead singer of the world-renowned boy band August Moon. When Solène steps in to chaperone her teenage daughter's trip to the Coachella Music Festival, a chance encounter with Hayes sparks a passionate and whirlwind romance.
